GREEN PEAS & SOYA PARATHAS

Ingredients: –

For stuffing:

  • 1 cup Soya Kheema
  • ½ cup Boiled and Mashed Fresh Green peas (Leached)
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin powder
  • 1/4th tsp turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp coriander powder
  • ½ tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 green chilli finely chopped
  • 0.5gm salt/as directed by the dietician
  • 1 tsp oil

For dough:

  • 1 cup Wheat flour 
  • Water to knead the dough
  • Oil for greasing the parathas

Preparation: –

  • In a bowl, add wheat flour, water and knead the dough for parathas and set aside for 30 minutes.
  • In a vessel, add soya kheema to boiling water and let it soak for 5-10 minutes. Squeeze out the water and set it aside.
  • In a kadhai, add 1 tsp oil, add ginger garlic paste, finely chopped green chilli, onion and fry for few minutes.
  • Now, add the soya kheema, boiled and mashed green peas and mix well. Add in all the spices and salt. Mix again and let it cool.
  • Take a portion of the dough, roll it and stuff it with little of the soya peas mixture, seal from all sides and roll it flat keeping it to 1 inch thickness.
  • Heat a tawa and roast the paratha by applying oil on both sides. Serve hot with thick curd.
