What is In-Clinic Dialysis?

The removal of toxic waste and excess water from the blood is called Dialysis. It is of two types – Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis. Hemodialysis involves drawing the blood from a vein in the body and passing it through a ‘Dialyser’ which is an Artificial Kidney which cleans the blood, and then sending the blood back to the body through the vein. Hemodialysis can be done at home, in hospitals, in clinics, or even in special ambulances. The treatment given at medical facilities like hospitals, clinics, or dialysis centres is called In-Clinic Dialysis.

Many people have a misconception that patients on dialysis have short, sedentary, and unproductive lives. These days, with good quality dialysis treatments, patients can live for decades, return to work, take up a sport, go out for a movie or a meal with family or friends, travel and do almost anything that people with healthy kidneys can do.

In NephroPlus, we have hundreds of patients who work full time, play a game, travel on work or leisure and lead full, meaningful lives. This is because of the protocol-driven dialysis treatments that we provide in our clinics. Our highly-skilled and well-trained Nurses and Dialysis Technicians follow the RenAssure protocols which have been developed by us to ensure that our patients get quality dialysis that enables them to get their life back.

How safe is
my dialysis

The NephroPlus Way

All NephroPlus clinics across the country follow the NephroPlus Way – a set of protocols created by some of the best brains across the world.

RenAssure Protocols

RenAssure protocols encompass all aspects of dialysis right from starting and closing a dialysis session to what investigations should be done regularly to the maintenance regimens for dialysis and water treatment equipment. We firmly believe that the only way quality can be maintained in dialysis clinics is through standardisation and implementation of protocols.

Prevent Cross-Infections

Cross infections happen when infected blood comes in contact with a healthy body. Hemodialysis fistulas, grafts and catheters are also prone to catching infections if not given proper attention and care. Our team of trained professionals are well equipped to ensure that proper hygiene is maintained in order to avoid cross infections.

Safe Water Treatment Plans

We strictly follow the international standard clinical operating protocols. Our team of experts who visit all our clinics once every month conduct audits and training of the staff to ensure we adhere to the international protocols. We have a standardised chart for maintaining our RO Water Plant which is the heart of our dialysis clinics.

Quality Audits

Through regular audits we maintain stringent quality protocols, high service levels and quality care, leading to higher guest satisfaction.

Disinfection

Every NephroPlus centre is disinfected – following standardised quality protocols to ensure the best clinical outcomes and quality of life.
